QOC: Wheaton Regional Park, MD. I felt better running today than the day before but it was still pretty slow. I was okay for most of the course but had some minor errors on a few controls (#4, #8, #10, #12), and a larger error on #14. Some of my routes may not have been that optimal either. A few of the errors came about by me cutting off of a trail too early. One (#12) was just starting out on a poor bearing. I'd done the re-mapping of this park and at times, I just lost where I was; such as in the #8 and #10 area. I had trouble reading the trails at times and that was probably because they were too thin or I didn't slow down enough to read them. I could tell when I was really running out of energy after the climb to #12. I got to thinking poorly leaving #13 and at a trail intersection, I needed to pause to figure out which trail needed on the way to #14. It was a fairly nice day with temperatures in the upper 40s or low 50s F. I'm glad that I got to run and hope I can do more training now that the weather is better and I'm past a few things that had been making it difficult to train!

Bethesda, MD. From the parking lot near 46th St. and Leeland St., through the parking lot and the park to the Georgetown Branch Trail, then to Connecticut Ave. and back. I felt pretty slow and fairly awful during this run. I'd been very busy all week and I just haven't gotten enough running in.
