Centennial - Larry's Loop - Miners
Nice firm footing on Centennial and Larry's. Post holing a bit on Miner's - like dancing on egg shells, don't push off too hard or come down too hard. Snowing again - 0C. Nice run.

XC Skiing 1:11:55 [3] 8.0 mi (8:59 / mi)

Skating Gibbards Loop. Newly groomed but punching through every 5-6 strides. Not very pretty as you stumble and face plant. Kissed the snow three times. Gibbard's cabin appeared to have collapsed under the snow load and rain last night. Sun peaked out a number of times which made the outing a little more enjoyable.

Running 58:14 [2] 7.0 mi (8:19 / mi)

Another 8" of new fluffy snow this time. Slippery on plowed roads. Run from home to Centennial trail head, Larry's loop and home again. Beautiful and quiet in the new snow - like a crystal globe that has just been shaken. Felt good going uphill in the snow.

Running/Snowshoe 1:30:00 [2] ** 10.0 mi (9:00 / mi)

Centennial Trailhead up to reservoir, then Larry's Loop to Miner's. Started digging postholes at this point and switched to snowshoes. Up mining trails to meadows - deep and untracked - found some ski tracks and followed down to gasline. Not so easy going down steeps with snowshoes. Hit packed trails again at Museum for running back to trailhead. Lots of people out on their New Years resolutions - just like me.
