HVO/WCOC Winter Series 2020 #1
Blue Mountain, Contour only, 4.6km

Sunny and an unseasonable 64F. Very windy, but not a factor.

In addition to contours, the map had the major water features and the huge cliffs. As long as I kept absolute contact with the map, I did OK. But when I was off, I found it nearly impossible to relocate with just contours.

#3 - Eventually relocated at the cliff and marsh, south of the control.
#5 - I felt I was in the right area and just wandered around until I found it.
#9 - A lot of problems here. I got too for north and got confused when I saw the stream. Way short. I could see the control was in the flat marsh/stream area, but that didn't keep me from wandering off into the hills. Eventually, decided to head back to the parking to relocate or quit. On the way, the contours started to make sense and was able to find the control.
