QOC Junior Nationals
Long course. Brown. 5.5km.

Cloudy, following more overnight rain.
Another good day for me. I was a little more cautious (slower) and avoided any major problems with the longer legs. Not much energy left after the spectator control (#9).

Enjoyable weekend: nice woods, nice map and nice courses. The only negative was the traffic. This could be a disincentive for returning in the future.

Orienteering race 51:01 intensity: (4:36 @2) + (19:35 @3) + (25:10 @4) + (1:40 @5) *** 3.77 km (13:33 / km) +106m 11:52 / km

QOC Junior Nationals
Middle distance. Brown. 3.8km.

Overnight and early morning rain left the ground muddy, but otherwise the woods were quite nice. The absence of stony ground was welcome.
On the way to #1, I found out what the black X's looked like.
My only miss was #6. After going by the control, I came to a little stream, about a foot wide. Didn't think it was the mapped stream and continued. Quickly realized my mistake and looped back.
Very happy with how I did today. Both brain and body functioned well throughout the course.

Route Trace starts at #1.
