Fall Foliage Festival. CSU 2011
US S/M/L Championships
Franklin Park

Nice course, nice map. Mostly a good run. Lost over a minute on 2 with a sloppy exit from 1 and some confusion with the many rock faces. Otherwise just small hesitations.

Sunny and mild. The trail was still wet from last night's rain. A stiff breeze from the southwest made the trip to HJ a little more challenging. Coming back made up for it, however.

Recumbent warm up/down 20:00 [2]

Star trac. Alpine Pass Program.
Level 12, middle hill 10.

Strength (machines) 1:00:00 [1]

Usual set of machines.

The predicted morning showers never happened, so this was a pleasant ride.
Mostly cloudy and cool. Any colder than this and I'll need gloves. My legs felt stiff before going out, but this didn't impact the ride.

Trail running race 30:07 [3] 4.7 km (6:24 / km) +85m 5:53 / km

Baird Park Billygoat Run. 5K trail race.
A beautiful day for this run. Sunny and cool (upper 50s). Windy in the open, but not in the woods. 135 ran the 5K, including the unexpected appearance of Tony Muffatti (2nd M50-59, 12 overall). I did much better than I expected, which was something around 35 minutes. There were a lot of teens and very few really old folks, which allowed me to get third in M60-69. Prizes were a box of cookies and other sweets. Worth some extra effort.
Recorded distance is from FR.
