Note

Instead of training this weekend, I braved the elements and trashed the liver at the Sasquatch! Music Festival.

Note

Pulled out yet another one this morning. It looked well fed. Don't know how I had missed it, having spent hours staring at my naked rear in the mirror. Maybe I need better-eyed "friends" to stare at my naked rear?

Have been going through the jar of leftover doxycycline.

Note

A change of plans and priorities for the rest of the year... I will do the North American Rogaine Champs, teaming up with, as it seems now, Vadim. I think we have a good strong chance. And, I will definitely pass on the Jukola, and possibly the WOC.

I just feel like spending this one summer being a tourist in the city, rather than orienteering. For a change.

Note

Pulled out the 24th tick this morning. This one was much higher than any of the first 23, sucking out of the underarm.

Orienteering (Barely moving) 1:42:25 [1] **** 10.0 km (10:15 / km) +300m 8:54 / km
ahr:125 max:152 shoes: (C)Ross Dress Brooks

Visited the rest of the locations of the Classic, towards the remainder of the course, starting early in the morning. Was hoping that Samantha wouldn't catch up, and she didn't.

Both the length and the climb are preliminary measurements, with the climb straight from the Polar.

Note

After returning the rental car at STL, Eric and I racewalked to the hotel about 5 km away, deciding not to rely on the shuttle. I'm sure Eric would log this as 40 minutes of Level 1, but I choose not to.
