After a week's rest, I worked at one of
Wendell's runs. Did the finish timing. And as soon as most of the people were through, I went out for a jog, myself.
Things went great for about an hour, and then problems started. Dizziness, then worse. Any time I'd change my head orientation, things would go 'round in circles. And then, every step was like a little explosion going off. It felt like there was a lot of pressure inside the head, and it increased with every footplant, and as if the brain was bouncing around. After about an hour and a half, things stopped getting worse, and then I
finished (pic #195) the 17-km course. Aid station split, for whatever it's worth: 7.8 km/49:08; aid station time: 0:22.
After the run, things got better but there was an incessant ringing in my left ear, which did not go away and did not get any easier until I went to bed. I had problems moving around the house and had to hold on to things to not fall down. Slept for 12 hours.
