For me, this was a very good race. I had a few small mistakes but it was overall quite clean. I probably could have gotten about 2-3 minutes back in total from some route choice errors and control circle slowdowns compiled over the course, but I never made any real navigation mistakes. All in all, I was quite happy with today. I ended up winning M-18 and the Green C course again and secured the junior national varsity trophy for Tahoma! Great job to Luke Menzie and Zariah Zosel for their good races too!
Had a pretty bad race today unfortunately. The goal was low 8 minute pace and I barely broke 10. I made quite a few stupid errors which added about 6 minutes in total to my time, making my race extremely unclean which isn’t nice. But in the end, I managed to win the M-18 division and the Green C course for today, so it wasnt all bad.
A pretty poor race pace-wise but good navigationally. I was mostly focused on not injuring myself before competing in the Junior National Champs. Didn’t make many mistakes but the climb was killer.
