Orienteering race 59:10 [3] 4.7 km (12:35 / km) +190m 10:28 / km

QOC Oregon Ridge meet Green course. Today's race was a bigger challenge because the course-setter decided to leave the trails off the map. I felt I did OK at following contours and other features. You really learn to trust your map this way. I downloaded my times but the printer was on the fritz so I won't know my results until they are posted at QOC web site.

Update: times were posted and I had 59:10 which was pretty close to my guess of 1 hour. I was running in 4th place which would be fine for me until 5+ minute mistake on 2nd to last control. It was not that hard and I should have nailed it but again forgot to think. They don't call this the "thinking sport" for nothin'!
