Orienteering race 1:16:36 [5]

QOC Greenbelt meet. I was going along great and in 2nd place according to WinSplits when disaster struck as usual on one control, #8. I tried attacking from a bend in a trail, then from a re-entrant. Probably went past it a few times because it was well hidden in a pit and dead fall. Anyway, 24 minutes later I found it a went on. If I can just keep from having that one really bad leg I can finish with decent time. My conditioning was good even though I pretty much took the week off from training. All I can do is keep going out and try to plan each leg better.

Running 26:00 [5] 2.8 mi (9:17 / mi)

Treadmill run at Supreme Sports Club. Did intervals at 10/MPH every 5 minutes. Ran at 7.5 MPH during recovery period. Increased the interval length 5 seconds each time from 40 seconds to 1 minutes. Very tough workout.

Bike to work on this cold and windy day. There was ice on the some of the trails that slowed me down.
