Skiing (skating) 2:30:00 [3]

lapham peak .... and I'm totally wiped out

beautiful, started w/ the plan to do the blue loop as it was groomed, so plan was all on tracks till I took a look at the black segment, and the snow was just so great!!! no ice, nice and soft, and sorta fastish in the same time, tons of deer on that segment that were so friendly, crossing the trail in front and behind me just a few feet away...

so i reached the homestead..and I really love the butterfly area...so as I'm approching the turn to purple, i figured I should do the black segment one more time (the one with rock ridge and roller coaster)...and it was just as fun the second time!

so i got the homestead again..pretty wiped out now, but my brain must have gone in overdrive or something, cause i figured the ski season is almost over,...anyway, I decided to try the purple loop too. Now I was REALLY wiped out, fell 3 times on the purple loop ... but just kept on going, arms gave up first, so now it was legs only propelling me... but so pretty

so now at homestead, again!!... and finally the smart choice to cut across the road to the downhill from 2 tier, and thank God i didn't falll, cause I was barely standing by now.

well, got some very cool beers now (malt bock, russian imperial stout and dirty basterd...to celebrate!... assuming I don't fall asleep before I start celebrating ;)

lapham peak

training building is nearby so had to stop on the way home.

pretty icy, fell a couple times, so I only did one whole lit loop and one small lit loop. Had some fun, but espaecially at the lower level, very icy ... if they would have groomed it today it probably been better. No complaints, it is spring after all! and in florida ther'll be none whatsoever... so I'll have to learn to water ski!

lapham peak

very fast! a bit icy (a bit more), but smooth, the big slide and two tier were doable. learn one more tip: use the abs when poling! Fireside nut after w/ the bikers group.
