Did the flat loop to warm up and try the new tips. the snow was a lot sliperer, and had trouble w/ balance on one foot. oh, and the parking lot was a huge skating ring...almost fell like 10 times.
Then did the whole lit loop and took a pretty good tumble down the hill from the 2 tier. fell right on my newly healed bruise (huge one) from ice skating last week, so I'm back to square one. I was in a fair amount of pain, so i decided to leave, mostly cause I didn;t want to fall again... but next year i'll be right back!!

Lapham peak, first time this winter.

The snow was great, I remembered the hips forward tip especially up the hill. i got a new tip on bringing the feet together in between sliiiides. Well, I'm working on that. i fell once on flat when i was trying this. i sweated all 3 layers i had on and could not wait to go again!

did the lit loop twice and then the flat loop again to try my balacing act. had fun w/ the downhills :)

best part: someone shared some fresh venison summer sausage in the warming hut after the skiing, best i ever had!!

Setting up courses for the Badger's meet.

Just a little dusting of snow in the woods (there was a whole lot more at home). the weather was actually pretty good (~30F), people (about 20 showed up) enjoyed the courses (heard some had "challenges" ;) and I got plenty help w/ pick up (more exactly i didn;t pick up anything, I was totally wiped out). then (7 of us!!) had dinner at this Gino place in Fond du lac. very fun. the whole thing.

Finally the soreness from monday was gone...so i thought I needed a new dose ;) went on the treadmill and had no "umph" so i walked a slow pace for a total of 20 min watching Cheers, till someone started running next to me.... and not sure what competition spirit kicked in, cause I ran 4 miles prettily fast after that.... better not be too sore tomorrow now.

Still had some energy so stopped by the zumba class, where the instructor did not show up, so some lady (that "might" be teaching somewhere else) stepped in after we asked her, and we pulled some iPods together, it was very fun and andhoc!

now i'm truly wiped out!
