Running 40:00 [3] 4.0 mi (10:00 / mi)
shoes: Saucony Omni

up north. I had so much sugar before ( I tried all 10 jars of preserves mami gave me last winter, 8 of them very yummy!!), so energy was not an issue, but still could not bring me to run 5 miles. So, walked a bit, ran a bit, checked on the horsies, got back and was frienly signalled that i may get a ticket if i walk on the train tracks...)

Wauwatosa, with the relay team (gabe)

nice and easy. I'm actually feeling pretty good. not sure the bit of GU I had had anything to do with it.

Biking (mtb) 1:00:00 [3]
shoes: Nort face

Greenbush - w/ renee and the gang

it happened to be a WORBA race today there, so the trails were a bit messed up, but still fun. First time MTB for renee!

Running 37:25 [4] 4.01 mi (9:20 / mi)
shoes: Saucony Omni

up north. pretty much gave it all I got...had to strecth calves half way.

so, relay 3 weeks away: one week prepare, one week ramp up, one week taper. that should do.

Surfing 1:00:00 [2]

beautiful weather. someone tried to scare us with shark sighting. saw cute little coquinas and some sort of crab I forgot what was called. Managed to stand twice pretty stabelish.. (that is after Robby helped me catch waves). Somehow gotta improve paddleing technique.

Boot camp 1:00:00 [3]
shoes: Saucony Omni

Last day of boot camp ;( I really had fun with this session.

Test results, compared with a month ago:
mile run: from 8:40 to 7:15
pushups in 1min: from 25 to 33 (I think first 15 on toes)
situps in 1min: 50 to 57
plank hold: 2:40 to 3:35 (won 1st place! and probably could have gone longer :)

Did a quick comparison with finishing bootcamp last year, and the fitness level is about the same (which I think it's good..means I didn't loose fitness:). Good progress on plank, the core strength really improved.

So now, onto training for the relay finally :) i can't believe i have not orienteer this year yet... oops...

Running 55:36 [3] 6.06 mi (9:10 / mi) +80m 8:49 / mi
shoes: Saucony Omni

lake front w/ badgerland striders

Luai ran by me the whole time, and it's mostly due to him that I was so incredibly fast (for me, yes, very fast!, specially w/ no running lately!).

Big hill at the end, ran all that! ;) ;)

I have no clue when I ran this fast this long last time...maybe last year sometime?

Adventure Racing race 6:00:00 [3] **
shoes: Nort face

mini MASH - team Stumpknockers, w/ Robby

two words: AWESOME RACE!

The race was at devil's lake so it was a given we would have some nice views and hikes.

1) Aerial O. My first reaction was to take the map and run. But then I realized Robby never raced before and it would be a great opportunity for him to learn to navigate. We spent 10min or so (yes, during the race:) to go through the basics, and I'm glad I did, cause he ended up doing the whole navigation!. we got all points here.

2) UGS map on the east bluff. We started at the bottom and went to the north of the lake and picked up all controls pretty much along the scenic route ;).

3) Mistery events: balancing on the stability ball; throwing tennis balls. he pretty much took care of these very misterious stuff. I picked up the balls, that should count :)

4) Bike to paddling. Road, so not much excitement. Wish they would have some MTB, but can't have everything. so, I'm OK with the compromise.

5) paddle: we managed that pretty good (that is cause he was stiring).

6) bike back. all good till the last hill, where Robby was a bit out of energy.

So, we totally had a fun race, awesome scenic routes, no glitches (that I could see :0 in organizing (GREAT job mike and yamule team!). and as far as I'm concerned, we won:)
