Running (Trail paved) 35:00 [3] 3.0 mi (11:40 / mi)
shoes: Saucony Omni

Up north. The low load on carbs made this pretty sluggish, due to very low evergy turned around after 1.5 miles. ran into greg roller skiing and had good discussion.

Saturday Mar 27, 2010 #

Note

30 sec. also played some tennis but can;t quite qualify that as training.

it was so good to see the fun group again. legs are sore (includes quads, calves), so i only focused on upper body. No running till I get this soreness under control...

Running (trail paved) 55:00 [2] 5.0 mi (11:00 / mi)
shoes: Saucony Omni

Up North - perfect running weather

For some reason my calves cramped up and had to slow down, then stop, then stretch, then again.

Biking (spinning) 1:00:00 [3]
shoes: Shimano

BD - Y

Good workout, but as soon as I hoped on the biked I realized that I have forgotten about my bruised butt from the other day's fall. otherwise, I tried to stay with it.

Rollerblade 1:00:00 [1] 8.0 mi (7:30 / mi)

Up north

I know I said I'll take a break, but just can't stay inside when it;s so nice. So I said I'll take it easy, but very relative term when wind is gusting at 25mph. Well, at least the way back was just gliding. If I would have kept my jacket open probably would ve picked up some very artbitrarily fast speed.

Running (Trail paved) 1:05:31 [3] 6.0 mi (10:55 / mi)
shoes: Saucony Omni

Up north - strarted at highland

Bit of against the wind on the way up, then with the wind (not sure the wind speed, but let's just say I never spit that far ;)

after I browsed a bit in the neighbourhood forest preserves, could not find anything dry i could run in, so I was back to my regular trail. I'm a bit bummed I'm so slow, but I guess i just started training 4 days ago... But I guess it's good I could still cover the distance. Everything below my bottom is sore and tight almost cramped, so I'll be taking 3-4 days off running. Injury is about the last thing I want!

slept:7.0 (rest day)

How about some rest??
13sec of holding to my bar. I wonder how many seconds you have to be able to hold yourself up till you can actually do one pull up?!?

Running (Trail paved) 46:12 [3] 4.29 mi (10:46 / mi)
shoes: Saucony Omni

up north and south

felt amazing. it was like i was not touching the ground (no i didn't smoke anything ;) good music too (doerksen). I set out for anything more than 2 miles, but probably could have gone for 7. stopped and watched the swollen creeks...

Stretch/Strength (body pump) 30:00 [3]
shoes: Saucony Omni

BD - Y - with karen

i got there late cause I was shoe shopping with no success. i wish i knew how to make shopping a more exciting event. anyway, still got a relatively OK workout and feeling a bit tired.

7 PM

Running (Trail paved) 25:52 [3] 2.39 mi (10:49 / mi)
shoes: Saucony Omni

Down south - test run

Oh, so out of running shape! yes.... well, at least I know where i'm at. Sorta OK weather 35F (my head was cold, and chest a bit), so next time got to wear a hat and a vest. My legs just don;t know how to run anymore!! They kept saying 'really???? we really are doing this?" ;)

But no pains, no sickness... so no reason I shouldn;t be able to improve this a bit by the pig's time. plus gotta work it to at least 7 miles...

Skiing (skate) 50:00 [3]

lapham

so... I only thought saturday was the last one, but I pondered and pondered and figured there's gotta be some snow left... that will be completely gone by the end of the week (rain and 50F). It was a bit icy, so it helped that I already have some sort of balance. I was considering getting up the 2 tier when Sam, another die hard (and I must say the cc skiers are the friendliest bunch out there! people actually talk to you!), said he sees I'm not wearing a helmet, so maybe not a good idea. The dry patches really make this an adventure. So I did the green loop twice, second time I actually timed myself (about 18-20 min - that's approx cause i'm wearing this tiny watch that's mostly decoration and some idea of the time). It was just so fast out there, I mean you felt like you're picking up speed up hill :)

well, this was probably last ski session for the season... right?

Rollerblade 30:00 [2]

Up north

Just had to get outthere! First time rollerblading this year!

Skiing (classic) 2:00:00 [3]

Lapham - with Robby

Tried the classic today, which confirmed what i thought: a lot easier to get going. Well, even with the extra workout the skating is more fun, and Robby kept wanting to skate on those (his first time on skis!). This was probably the last skiing outing for the year, as high 40s are in the forecast. Short, but super fun season!!

Now lets dry off those trails so we can MTB!!
