Running (Trail Paved) 38:35 [4] 4.0 mi (9:39 / mi)
ahr:166 max:185 shoes: NB 1060

Trail up north approx couple miles and back. Plenty hot.

Another record high for HR. And just one beat below the record ahr (that is 167 during my fastest ever black loop at Lapham in May). My training is not any different, so no clue what's up w/ the HR...I really don't care, just interesting fact.

Stretch/Strength (Body Pump) 1:00:00 [3]
shoes: NB 1060

at the Y.

I really liked the weights setting today, so I'll log them for reference. Calves doing OK, just a bit tight, I kept stretching them...but still a little tension there. They better be in shape for tomorrow long run...whimper...

Setup:

Weighted Bar = 4.4 Lbs, L = 5Kg, M = 2.5Kg, S = 1Kg
Squats = 2 x (L + S)
Chest = 2 x L
Back = 2 x (L + S)
Tricep = 2 x M = [cannot really feel the workout, but any higher and it hurts my elbows)
Bcep = 2 x (M + S)
Shoulder = 2 x (M + S) = [very tough!!] and the 5lbs dumbells

And you, big lifters out there, I don't wanna hear any laughs!

Running (Trail - paved) 32:00 [3] 3.0 mi (10:40 / mi)
ahr:163 max:181 shoes: NB 1060

Paved trail, up north, solo.

Quick run before the bike ride.

Biking 1:00:00 [2] 14.0 mi (4:17 / mi)
shoes: NB 1060

Same paved trail and ride into town as well, w/ Dave. Both time and distance are more than approximate.

This was fun! I was so heated up from the running that I left w/ a sleeveless shirt. Sure enough, half way in I was freezing cold, goose bumps like crazy. At this point I was dreaming how would it be to wrap myself in of those flags hung by the road. So we stopped for some sweets at a store, and I just kinda throw out there how frozen I was. Well, this nice lady, an angel must have been watching, she just offered me a sweatshirt!! That's definetely one of the nicest unexpected things that happened to me in a while :))

Stretch/Strength (Body Pump) 1:00:00 [3]

Body Pump at the Y.

I was planning a quick run afterwards, but I forgot my shoes. I did body pump in my beach flip-flops, but runnin in flip-flops can be more of a challenge. So I replaced running w/ a nice whirlpool session..it was about time.

Calves are doing good, ultimate test would be running.

Note
(rest day)

A so well deserved rest day...and eating day. It will be a miracle if my body doesn't protest to the feast tonight!

Calves not doing all that bad, unless I try to stretch them. I've been wearing 24h these icy hot packs.

train pretend (Body Attack) 56:24 [4]
ahr:129 max:181 (injured) shoes: NB 1060

I thought this body attack was a great workout last wek, so I decided to go again. Well, my calves didn't think the same way, and 20 min in the workout they decided not no collaborate anymore. There's some jumping or whatvere that kills my calves. They're so stiff again I can barely walk. I'm quite mad!!!

So, now what: do I wait 3 weeks to go to this class again, do I stretch 2 hours a day, hot or cold compreses, do I give up training all together????? Big sigh here ;(

Stretch/Strength (Body Pump) 21:20 [2]
ahr:83 max:115 shoes: NB 1060

Did only a bit of the upper body.

Is this icecream on my hr watch??!! :))

Running (Trail Paved) 58:00 [3] 5.6 mi (10:21 / mi)
ahr:164 max:184 shoes: NB 1060

Got my i-Pod an my water belt, and up the road I went! Warmed up nicely, temps were reasonable, my HR was a bit high for the speed I was going, but feeling quite all right. Right calf tight after, the muscle below the calf per say.

Orienteering race (Canoe-Orienteering) 1:00:00 [3]

Canoe O in Busse Woods Lakes, Chicago.

Perfect weather! The orienteering part was quite minimal, but the paddling in a relatively straight direction proved to be more of a challenge than I thought, w/ the wind and everything. I was the stirer, and Dragos just won't let me do my job! I guess we just need to practice a bit more...

Biking (Trail - paved) 2:00:00 [2] 20.0 mi (6:00 / mi)

Investigated possible routes to work. I got ways..waaaays to improve my biking speed!

Stretch/Strength (Body Pump) 1:00:00 [3]

I forgot my gym bag today, so I did body pump in jeans and t-shirt, and my sketchers. It worked kinda ok, my belt was bothering a bit on the exercises laying on my back. I was definetely the most fashionable in the class:))

The 2 weeks off made it a bit hard, so I had to lower a bit the weights.

Better not get sore muscles so I can paddle ok tomorrow during canoe orenteering. I'm a bit anxious, as I never did this before, but I;m still looking forward` to it. I don't even know how to keep the boat straight w/ canoe paddles:)

Running (Trail - paved) 30:00 [4]
shoes: NB 1060

Standard up the road trail. Found a little trail, off the main paved one, but not sure if it's private property. To be invetsigated.

Calfes are pretty stiff from the "attack" yesterday, it took a whole mile to loosen up. And now ther're stiff again. Getting there..getting there:)

train pretend (Body Attack) 55:00 [5]
shoes: NB 1060

Body Attack class at the Y. I declare it the toughest workout class I ever been to! No wander only 4 people were there, when everything else is packed. After 30 min my tummy was in pain, I had heart burn and my quads felt like 2 bags of sand. I initially considered going to Body pump after, but no can do!

Running (tread mill) 20:00 [4]
shoes: NB 1060

After recovering a bit, and 2 tums later, I figured that I'm already warmed up, might as well run a couple miles. Got my surge song, truly wind at my back, and I ended up enjoying the run. ...which of course doesn't mean it helped w/ the heart burn!

Sore muscles has alreday settled in! Wow, it only takes 10days off.

train pretend 1:00:00 [3]
shoes: NB 1060

This was the funniest workout ever..that is if I can call it a workout. "Body Jam" at the Y, some kinda of dance - aerobics - shake your bottom to the left and right, I just could not stop laughing the whole time. Not sure if the trainer thought I was crazy. Run a mile after that, just so I can punch in this as training, and still laughing thinking about it..:)))

Last week = rest week (citeva taieturi ca lumea in talpa in scoici in prima zi m-au aranjat!). Amazing how I can eat like a pig in romania, not do any workout and still slighly loose weight. Whoa...what if I lost like 2 fibers of my muscles??!!
