legs felt heavy for most of the race, no mistakes but some very minor hesitations ~20 sec total, some due to weak trail symbol color. I was the first starter, so no one on my course, cool!

3 loops in Forset Park, very conservative effort: 8:29, 8:34, 8:10. Cool (~60F), overcast. Running felt easy, legs are rested, swelling from bite is gone. Very exited about next month of racing: USOC, NAOC, M.Lakes, WMOC.

Got a insect sting on Saturday, into L calf. Quite an allergic reaction, not the first time though. Knee and ankle got affected, swelling is usually gone in 2 -3 days. I need rest anyway.

Drafted 4+ km course on a map and ran it, got really pushed by terrain today on 3,4,5 and 10 for total of 14 min or so, Legs are tired, no water on the course in 80F weather. Survived. K beat me in this challenge, map was close to impossible to read with my aging eyes, despite contact lens. Have eye doctor appointment for Monday.
