10 Miles Frostbite Race in Central Park, felt great all the way, plan was 6:40/mile, but I ran just a touch faster, having a lot of people around helps with extra adrenaline rush. Started next to NYRRC pesident Mary Wittenberg, she is on the roll with the idea of Grand Slam Marathons; I do not think that any elite mathoner can train for 5 marathons in a single year. No frostbites, it was nice out. Just like two weeks ago. The splits:
6:23 (162),
6:33 (167),
6:20 (166),
6:43 (168),
6:28 (167),
6:42 (167),
6:20 (167),
6:32 (168),
6:33 (170),
6:11 (171)

I would not log it otherwise, but this deserves it:
I was getting into a bus and the f...ing MTA driver closed door on me, jamming my hands and my backpack inside. I thought this asshole would reopen the door like most of normal drivers do. No way... Lucky me, he did not start moving right away and I was able to get loose. And I went loose: I took all the shortcuts to the next stop and then the next stop and made sure he gets the usual NYC greeting in a situation like this. Got good exercise out of this too.
