On a cold day I was a little overdressed for running effort, so walked / jogged a lot. Sunny weather and no leaves meant I had better chance at reading map than yesterday without contact lenses. Saw Ching-Hua a lot, trading leads (not intended), Laura and Sagy. Jordan flew by at one point. Lost line at least 3 times, it was wiped out from the ground.

Partnered with Lina for relocation part of training at Blue Mntn. We did well, considering relatively short time Lina is running orienteering. Her nick name shell be Z-woman, at one point she just left me in the dust, sucking wind going up hill, just like Z-man used to do. Totally out of energy at the end, needed food.

shadowing Ching-Hua on Surebridge North (no contact lenses, could not navigate well, so I was a better shadow this time). Slight drizzle. Harriman is just gorgeous when naked. Also, found ~ 20 lbs of leftovers from party in the woods, cut out training a little short, got this crap out to parking dumpster. Bernie shell be proud of me :).

This time I started with Misha and Ian, followed them to first control of rout choice training, than me and Ian went on contours only map, I was able to read brown only map better than full one, also control locations were on the easy side, mostly I did not have to figure out finest details. I felt good running, no lenses meant I could see well under my feet.

much better map than last time, a little busy, but with all of the complex downfall it made sense.
I was able to push, despite concerns about R knee, slightly hyper-extended yesterday, running down rocky hill. Knee seems to be mostly fine, but not 100% stable.
Had ~ 2 x 30 sec hesitations and a 2 min. miss on 7, it looks like no-one nailed it.
