Control Pick Backwards

For my first time on a map for ages, this could have been worse. I had some dumb mistakes, typically involving compass use or a lack there of (especially on 9...). Setting the course and putting most of the streamers out definitely helped me because at points I was just retracing my steps from before. Not ideal, but at least I had to think the first time I visited each. I was feeling fine about doing it backward until I hit the big hill on the way to 8 (and again to 4) as going forwards would have broken up the climb and kept it at a more manageable steepness and length. Oh well, its good for me.

Good to see Keegan again, and Jeff also joined us which was nice. Don and Kathy were also out for a walk, so we talked with them for a bit. Hopefully we'll be getting out more while there is still no snow.

Quite disappointing as I missed out on a hour more sleep, but I decided that trying to back to sleep probably wouldn't have gone to well when I had to get back up again...
