Run (Trail run) 1:06:30 [4] 6.29 mi (10:34 / mi)
shoes: Topo Ultraventure (grey/green)

Much cooler than earlier this week, but still rather humid. Run with a slightly-less-heavy Hyperlite pack. Felt rather sluggish - assuming that is the humidity. I really like these shoes.

Hike/Trekking 1:02:09 [1] 2.56 mi (24:17 / mi)
shoes: Hoka Speedgoat 4 (blue/yellow)

Family walk at Harmony Hill. Started nice with some rock throwing, then got buggy and hot, and then hit a wall when a large mosquito took up residence in my right eye.

Hike/Trekking 1:02:29 [2] 4.46 mi (14:01 / mi)
shoes: Topo Ultraventure (grey/green)

Trek with heavy Hyperlite pack at Stroud. Super humid. Despite the bleach smell, I think I liked it. Will give it another go.

Run (Trail run) 37:45 [4] 3.65 mi (10:21 / mi)
shoes: Topo Ultraventure (grey/green)

First run in the Ultraventures. Cut way short because of the incredible heat. I planned on a long run around Cheslen and realized quickly that I wasn't going to make it. Temps were challenging in the shade and painful in the direct heat. I resorted to walking for a bit after 2 miles. Carried plenty of water but it made no difference.

Road Bike 2:35:15 [4] 42.75 mi (3:38 / mi)

Earlier ride to avoid the heat that is coming later. Home to KOP on CVT, Valley Forge loop then back home. Felt wonderful throughout despite the humidity - amazing what proper hydration will do. 4-5 bottles with nuun did the trick.

Paddle 1:03:40 [1] 2.83 mi (22:30 / mi)

Casual canoe around Marsh Creek with Rebekah and Noah.

Mountain Bike 1:30:53 [4] 11.36 mi (8:00 / mi)

Sweaty ride at Harmony Hill and Sawmill Rd. Temps were much more tolerable, but it was still humid. Trails were too muddy in some spots and the roots and rocks were terribly slick. After 5+ near falls on the Sawmill Rd. trails I took a slow tumble onto my left knee that gave me quite the gash that seemed deeper than it probably was. I came to my senses and gave up on the ride, pushed out to the road through the creek and went straight back to the car. The knee was fine while I finished, but became rather sore as the rest of the day went on.
