Hike/Trekking 1:28:22 [2] 4.74 mi (18:39 / mi)
shoes: Topo Terraventure 2 Red

Hike with Rebekah at Sadsbury Woods Preserve. Really lovely woods, overcast but the rain held off. Not as long as the map indicated it would be.

Hike/Trekking 1:50:46 [3] 7.09 mi (15:37 / mi)
shoes: Topo Terraventure 2 Red

Fast trek at Harmony Hill. Tough to move that quickly that consistently, but it seems like something that would be worthwhile putting into my rotation, as it feels a good bit different from running.

Mountain Bike 2:02:12 [3] 16.31 mi (7:30 / mi)

Ride at Marsh Creek. Absolutely perfect weather this afternoon. The ride started poorly, as my leg was sore from an innocuous fall this morning and my rear tire was not holding air well. As the ride continued my leg felt much better. The tire seemed to get it's act together as well. I ended up really enjoying this.

Road Bike 37:31 [3] 8.33 mi (4:30 / mi)

Worked up the courage for a road ride - chilly morning but headed out towards Marsh Creek with the packraft.
11 AM

Packraft 3:13:36 [2] 12.8 mi (15:07 / mi)

Water levels were steady in the runnable range on the E Branch of the Brandywine. It was below 50 at the start; nice to be on the creek with a little more water. One of my seats was slowly losing air - I had to fill it up ~5 times. I also took an unexpected swim when a vine grabbed my bike seat and tacoed the raft - I was able to clean up the yardsale, including finding my Rootstock hat a few minutes downstream. This was the whole trip that I've been thinking about the past year, from Dorlan Mil to the Brandywine Creek. It was a beautiful trip - I think I might be enjoying paddling!
3 PM

Road Bike 43:08 [3] 9.35 mi (4:37 / mi)

Windy and tired ride home from Shaw's Bridge Park.

Run 42:44 [3] 5.17 mi (8:16 / mi)
shoes: Topo Terraventure 2 Red

Cool and rainy day. Super blah run on E Branch Brandywine Trail with very little motivation. Was planning on 10, barely made it to 5.

Road Bike 1:26:35 [4] 25.66 mi (3:22 / mi)

Beautiful ride from Exton Park to KOP and back - not quite ready for an actual road ride yet. Had some good legs at times, but still a little flat from the vaccine.

Run (Trail run) 53:04 [4] 5.71 mi (9:18 / mi)
shoes: Topo Terraventure 2 Red

Humid run at Cheslen. Trails were a bit muddy after yesterday's downpour, but I was determined to get a good run in before tonight's vaccine. Enjoyed the pace of this.

Weights/Stretching 25:00 [4]

Good core workout on a cool rainy day.

Kayak Erg 45:00 [2]

Good paddle. Nothing remarkable, but I'm impressed at my improvement over the last 3 months.

Mountain Bike 1:20:36 [4] 11.81 mi (6:49 / mi)

First MTB ride of the season! I did a full cleaning/rebuild of the bike after it got home from Florida - rode extremely well. Perfect weather and perfect trails. I could stand to get back into this more often.

Road Bike 1:54:24 [4] 32.02 mi (3:34 / mi)

Ride from Betzwood to the western end of the SRT and back, with a little loop around Audubon. I felt great and was able to push pretty hard on the ~10 miles of gravel in the middle. Didn't quite have my best legs for the few uphills.

Run (Trail run) 1:08:18 [4] 7.39 mi (9:15 / mi)

Run (Trail run) 51:56 [3] 5.62 mi (9:14 / mi)
shoes: Topo Terraventure 2 Red

Frigid rainy run at Cheslen. I had to cut out yesterday's run after a weird spell of what I hope was dehydration, but today actually felt pretty good considering.

Road Bike 1:36:27 [3] 27.41 mi (3:31 / mi)

Super windy ride on the CVT from Exton to KOP and back. Flew out, and suffered most of the way home in wind that was coming in all directions except from behind.

Run (Trail run) 33:35 [3] 3.93 mi (8:33 / mi)
shoes: Topo Terraventure 2 Red

Quick and fast-ish run at Myrick Center. Trails were nice. Legs felt surprisingly better than the previous runs, especially considering the pace.

Run (Trail run) 1:05:27 [3] 6.62 mi (9:53 / mi)
shoes: Topo Terraventure 2 Red

Hot run at Harmony Hill. My legs feel like they are made of concrete.

3 PM

Run (Trail run) 54:40 [3] 5.89 mi (9:17 / mi)
shoes: Topo Terraventure 2 Red

Run at Cheslen. Another beautiful day; the trails were rather messy in a few spots. My body still has not recovered from the Sea to Sea.

4 PM

Run (Trail run) 31:16 [3] 2.92 mi (10:43 / mi)
shoes: Topo Terraventure 2 Red

Forgot my shoes at home, so this was an abbreviated run at the Nature Center before picking up Noah. Rather muddy in many spots, and still some sections that were covered in ice. Mostly hills in one direction or the other.

Sunday Mar 7, 2021 #

3 PM

Run (Trail run) 59:54 [3] 5.54 mi (10:49 / mi)
shoes: Topo Terraventure 2 Red

First run back. Feet felt tired. A little pain in the left big toe, which is the one that took the biggest pounding in Florida. Legs were also rather sluggish, but the trails were a mix of great, snowy, and super muddy. After the feet struggles last week I'm planning on paying a bit more attention to them moving forward.
