Orienteering (trails) 1:15:56 [3] 4.7 mi (16:09 / mi) +200m 14:16 / mi
shoes: Asics GT2000 Trail #2

Family went to a hike at Durand and I was able to enjoy a nice long run. [Though with a clearly white-blazed trail in the further reaches of the NW portion of the park, it was fight quite a bit - with trees through the trail and swallowwort impingement...]

Walking (trails) 30:50 [1] 1.5 mi (20:33 / mi)
shoes: Asics GT2000 Trail #2

After a break, walked a bit.

Orienteering race 21:13 [4] 2.6 km (8:10 / km)
spiked:10/12c shoes: Asics GT2000 Trail #2

Sprint A at RIT. Started a little early with Rob H, and we're equally out of shape:-( Traded controls through 6. I might be slightly more in shape than him and put some distance on to 7, but perhaps the exertion caused me to mislocated myself by one road, and missed 7...

Recovered 8/9/10.

Settled in for the long run to 11, and apparently settled in too far... Overshot and was passing by 12 before I realized that I'd gone too far, bleh. Returned and finished.

Orienteering 12:49 [4] *** 1.6 km (8:01 / km)
spiked:9/9c shoes: Asics GT2000 Trail #2

Sprint B at RIT. A bit shorter, and it looks like I settled in, clean course.

Orienteering race 21:25 [5] *** 2.5 km (8:34 / km)
spiked:10/13c shoes: Asics GT2000 Trail #2

Sprint C at RIT. Kept my wits for another longer course and reasonable fatigue. I figured since it was advertised as "fun", I'd have something to keep me engaged.

In the clear lighting / vision, I can see that I missed a good number of blue tunnels that I just couldn't see clear enough to make the best paths through. I didn't make awful decisions, and felt good about the effort, esp since it was a third time out.
