I went for a run at Lord Hill to check out the map for the 2012 Interscholastic and Intercollegiate Champs. It was generally very good and still surprisingly runnable in many places. The nettles were usually sparse or not present, and when they were present, they were mostly below knee height.

My legs were tired from running around yesterday, and my right gastroc muscle was sore this morning and hurt some toward the end of my excursion. I was out for nearly 2.5 hours, but much of that time was spent stopped looking at the map and terrain and noting a few changes here and there.

I ran around to place and pick up the Microsoft Tag controls for the Campus Jam Street Scramble course. This was the first time we've used this technology for a Street Scramble event, and it was amazingly successful, with many teams enjoying using a Windows 7 phone or other smartphone to validate their control visits, while others participated in analog mode, using a pencil to circle answers to the control questions.

The team entry, punching, and scoring systems worked flawlessly, thanks to Brad in Florida, who generated the Tags and set up the admin and player web interfaces and database.
