Event: DVOA A-meet
 

Running - Easy (road) 9:30 [2] 1.36 mi (6:59 / mi)

Warm up for day 1 of Daniel Boone Frontier Festival at Daniel Boone Homestead.

Running - Tempo (orienteering) 1:16:08 [3] 8.2 km (9:17 / km)

Ran course at Daniel Boone Homestead. I wasn't motivated to orienteer, so my focus was poor and I wasn't aggressive in the copious green. I did, however, run really fast on most of the longer trail sections, so this was really a fartlek session at everything from jogging to near sprinting, rather than a run of uniform intensity. I had around 10 minutes of lost time.

Friday Nov 2, 2001 #

Running - Easy (road) 31:20 [2] 4.57 mi (6:51 / mi)

Ran East from Days Inn in Pottstown, then back. I felt fairly tired from Tuesday.

Wednesday Oct 31, 2001 #

Cycling (Mt. biking on road) 14:27 [2] 3.4 mi (4:15 / mi)

Biked to 17th and 65th to discuss fence project and back.

Cycling (Mt. biking on road) 16:22 [2] 3.3 mi (4:58 / mi)

Rode to school for a cappella and back.

Tuesday Oct 30, 2001 #

Running - Easy (orienteering) 2:50:00 [2] 17.0 km (10:00 / km)

Ran around putting out controls for MS orienteering event at Cle Elum Ridge. I started out carrying three gallons of water, but eventually unloaded them. After about 1.5 hours, my legs started feeling tired, and after 2.3 hours, I began feeling low on energy. I guess my breakfast of three tablespoons of peanut butter wasn't quite enough.

Monday Oct 29, 2001 #

Cycling (Mt. biking on road) 14:00 [2] 2.7 mi (5:11 / mi)

Biked to Mercer and back for a cappella.

Sunday Oct 28, 2001 #

Running - Tempo (dirt road / trail) 7:00 [3] 1.7 km (4:07 / km)

Ran to start of the O' in the Oaks World Ranking Event at Morgan Territory.

Running - Pace (orienteering) 1:23:15 [4] 10.3 km (8:05 / km)

Ran WRE at Morgan Territory. It was a good run, despite not being in great shape and still feeling sort of disconnected. I only had a couple mistakes, and my total lost time was probably around 3 minutes.
