I had a migraine last night which wasn't the worst I've had because I caught it early but I still felt pretty bad. My head felt better but I had no energy. I couldn't eat breakfast so I had to force an energy bar down before I went out. I got to Wits early with Alex to help but ended up sleeping in the club house.

I was supposed to do the medium course and run first but Connor had hurt his leg so I ran 2nd and did the long. I was in the 2nd mass start coz some of the teams had almost finished and my 1st runner wasn't back yet. I wasn't complaining. less pressure. My time was pretty bad in comparison to other people

Started off running slowly with my parents who were walking to warm up. I then ran pretty fast through the park, past Bedford hospital and up half of royal oak 3x.

Not sure how long the run was coz I didn't have my buddy with his garmin. Alex has been running the courses that he planned for the relay on Sunday at Wits. I'm in the Roc junior team. I think it's going to be really fast which isn't good for me coz I haven't exactly been pumping the training and my times on the track have gotten a lot slower. The other Juniors have been doing athletics this term which my school doesn't offer. oh well it should be fun.

With a group of beginners. Our coach made us do 2min run, 5 walk 2run and so on. Rather frustrating but hopefully getting in my coaches good books who is also my English teacher. I suppose that it is also good training for my sore calves which just won't get better.

Pre-season cross country training at school. Not really helping me much because it is mainly for people who have never run in there lives before. I have to set the pace and time the group so go off by myself. We run around the block. We walk the hills.
