Must be a rest week this week as it was just a three mile long run this week. I did a longer loop to scout out the more fun places to try to complete, but had really stomach issues in a mostly urban area and none of it was very fun. It's been a long time since I got those!
I would get very bored running round here all the time but there are some lovely old lanes that just appear out of nowhere.

Almost completed Poppleton today - but there's a bunch of streets currently underwater making it quite impossible! Already well over 1% of York completed - not sure what my goal should be, as it's quite difficult to reach other parts of the city from here currently given floods and big roads. So progress will slow considerably once the village is done.
Half the village were out looking at the floods. It's the worst it's been in a while here apparently. No houses flooded luckily, but a good few roads cut off.
Of course this means Poppleton is not completely flat, but it feels very flat and I am missing the hills of home! However, the running is feeling a lot less sloggy than back in Salem, even though I've felt tired this week in general. Positive trends.

More core stability than explosive action here today. It was quite hard.

There must be a larger proportion of unique street names in York than Bradford. Two days in and I am already up to 0.56%. A run round and round the village on a miserable rainy day.
Euan has been walking for a while now but today really took off with being independent and exploring the playground. It was so cool. He also dribbled a football the length of the kitchen after watching Justin play football on Something Special yesterday. Pretty impressive.

This was supposed to be a walk but I cheated and went for a sub 140 HR shuffle. It's much easier to do this where it's flat! I would like to do these more often and find the recovery state of zen I used to find during these runs - today it just felt a bit boring.
