It's tough to pick a short run from home here that isn't majority uphill at the start then a long downhill to finish. This run was very like that, but the good news is there is more spring in my step up the hills now for sure. Shame that it's back to work tomorrow - a week of not worrying about it has done me a world of good. Now to find a better balance to take forwards.
Also - my lungs feel much better. I'm sure this is fitness/stress related, and that everyone thinks they've already had COVID, but a tiny part of me does wonder if I already got COVID as one of the daycare bugs in the winter. My breathing has felt mildly restricted on running for months - which I put down to masking while running, stress, and being hella unfit. But on arriving in the UK I spent two weeks coughing up brown gunk (different humidity/temperature perhaps?) and now my lungs feel much much better. Probably too late for an antibody test now, so guess I'll never know.
Lots of jumpy balancey things today. 15 minute workouts are just about manageable.

30 days of Yoga starts today! It was a long one with lots of lungey type holds, which were pretty hard after that short Freeletics. Still, day one in the books. Let's see how long I last!

Started my run then bumped into a lovely but lonely old chap from down the street, who knew who I was from family resemblance and also an awful lot about me, but I had never met him. We talked for a long time about a lot of stuff, so I had to restart my run.

1.5 icy miles. It was actually a bonus for the muddy bits but a bit tricky on some of the more well trodden paths. Just caught the end of the nice part of the day before everything got very gloomy.

More aerobic than strength, fun to blast through a workout.

An end of year stretch out from Adriene. I hope her 30 day challenge isn't all 50 minute work outs again this year.
Rest day that was actually a long walk with Cerys, who drove up from the Peaks. It was really great. A beautiful day, a frosting of snow, and excellent company. Unfortunately I brought two pairs of boots with me and neither have comfy enough arch support for this length of walk. Was worried I had really damaged my feet as they hurt so much, but they are fine the day after. Whew.
