Sprint stage 1. I had two screwups in the first three controls, but after that I felt really good - a bunch of the controls were tucked away in passageways and I didn't have major problems. First place after the first stage.

Second sprint. I again had a couple screwups in the first three controls, and went under the railroad at the wrong point and ended up takign a detour around the lake. Then I lost my shoe in a stream and it took me a good 20 seconds to dig my shoe out. So I was a little slower, but ended up first overall for the day.

M35+ night national championships. Only one other guy but he mispunched, so I won. I took two hard falls and smashed my face on the pavement once, and spent a good few minutes sitting on the ground wondering why I hadn't lost teeth, and wondering if I needed stitches on my face. I felt mostly pretty good, I did get a little screwed up in the no man's land in the north end of the map, btu I found the one rootstock in the whole area and found my way out.
