Sweetwater creek. Hanging streamers at control sites for the meet this weekend. Spent some time reconsidering the Yellow course and modified what I initially had. Wanted to keep it away from the Ranger's residence so now it goes into the woods and follows a gully-creekl for almost a km. It's a little much for a Yellow course but I put four controls along the gully so hopefully no one will get lost.

GAOC - Hard Labor Creek Beach Map. Beautiful day, sunny and almost cool. The NJROTC meet is tomorrow so it was just a small number of club runners.
Lost time on 4, was way to low on the hillside. Lost time on 5, precision compass was of to the right and hence got into the wrong gully. Lost time on 6, stayed too low on the hillside again. Otherwise it was a good run. Lots of fun. Got beat by Anna (by 3.5 min), she's running really well since she started working out regularly a few months ago, and also by Geoff W.

Silver Comet trail ride with Jeff D. Very relaxed, easy pace. Good conversation as it always is with Jeff. Beautiful weather again today, almost chilly to begin with but very pleasant riding.

Sweetwater Creek. Hanging streamers at control sites for the meet next weekend. Beautiful day, great walk in the woods. Saw two box turtles and one really big doe that wasn't in any big hurry to run away. Leaves are starting to fall so it's beginning to open up a bit. In another week it shoudl be even nicer.
