ROC Powder Mills Green - First real run since the calf pull 2 weeks ago. It felt good - and although a little sore, it was not a limiting factor.

Waited at the start to let Tyler and then Jason get a good start. There was a good turnout and the start area was busy. Had a strong start but then made 2 similar errors on subsequent controls. From 3 to 4 I dropped down to the bottom of the hill - then had to go back up most of it. Did the same darn thing from 4 to 5. Fortunately they were short legs and the errors didn't cost a lot of time.

The rest of the run was pretty clean and I focused on minimizing the elevation gain on my route.

Took too many breaks from running on the flat areas.

Saw Tyler's log about his route to 18 being driven by the park boundary line. I was aware of it during the race, but went back and double checked that my route was good.
