ROC - Webster Park - Orange Plus. Fairly straightforward course with a couple good route choices. After last weekend at Lime Hollow I am hesitating less when crossing a swamp. Biggest trouble was C#1 right off the bat - I was looking for a mowed path down the hill off the parking lot, missed it and wound up way out of my way on a trail. Last several contols were tough only from a physical standpoint. I was running out of gas. Gil got me by about 10 minutes and Mike by 1. Actual distance run - 10.8 km

My hip felt suprisingly well after feeling quite bad between races on Saturday - and the rest of my body seemed to recover pretty well. But instead of pushing my luck with a run, I stayed low impact.

CNYO - A-meet - Classic - Lime Hollow - I thought this was the toughest day technically and I am still not sure how much my fatigue impacted my decisions. Certainly the first mistake right at #2, which cost me probably close to 5 minutes, wasn't becuase I was tired. The other two mistakes were not as bad and were just bad attacks. The best part (really) was the 'crossable' swamp right before #16, which had me up to the waist. I got a bit spooked at how deep I was and used a lot of energy getting out as quickly as I could. It was still the right route choice. However, it was the first time I did a leech check after a race. Overall a great weeked at a well run event.
