orienteering 1:47:00 [2] 9.0 km (11:53 / km)

Control hanging, pickup and water schlepping for local meet at Kings Gap. Running between controls, but extra time for the hangs. Beautiful day.

trail run 30:25 [3] 6.5 km (4:41 / km)

Trail run at Loch Raven - right out the front door! Just beautiful. Need to learn how to map now. This is what I moved here for.

Thursday Apr 7, 2005 #

road run 50:17 [4] 12.55 km (4:00 / km)

Roland park. This felt *really* hard today.

Wednesday Apr 6, 2005 #

cycling 1:23:00 [3] 25.65 mi (3:14 / mi)

First commute from the new place. Along this route its only half a mile longer than the old commute, but there's alot more climb coming home. I guess that follows, since the new place is farther up a hill.

Note

Intended to go for a short trail run. I can't find my running shoes in all the moving clutter. Found an old pair and tried those, but didn't even get out of the building before deciding they hurt too much and would do more damage than good.

Sunday Apr 3, 2005 #

road run 10:00 [2] 1.2 km (8:20 / km)
(sick)

Warm up on road to start.

orienteering 1:55:29 [3] 14.1 km (8:11 / km)
(sick)

Pig, Day 2. Nice weather. Still feeling dogged. Injured myself jumping across a stream on the way to #2 - sharp abdominal pain. Took about 10 mins to walk this off before I could really run again. Thought about bailing, but the finish was so far away it wasn't worth the trouble. Picked up the pace when Clem arrived on the way to #8. Wyatt came along around #13 (I bobbled 12) and I spent the rest of the course trying to escape. Then went waaaaay right on the way to 22- up the wrong spur - and wasted lots of distance.

Note

A very disappointing weekend after a long week of moving while sick. The timing was terrible, but there was no other option except to give it a shot and see what happened. Denmark 06.
