Mt Surprise Trail and Eagle Ridge trail shortcut and down to 16A, 30 min. Back up to Mt Surprise in 7 one-minute intervals with one minute jog between, 12:53. Return home 19 minutes.

Suzanne and I walked downtown for Roads Association meeting via Kearsarge rd, then home through Whit. Woods.

Two miles on CountryRd/Birch Bend, then three more times sprinting up Country Rd hill. Another easy day.

Out and back my newly cleared path to Village trail, then Crown Ridge. Easy day; I need a couple more of them.

Note

Birded on foot at least 4 miles and five hours in morning in Village and up Hurricane Mtn Rd. Not training, but legs got tired and arms and neck too from warbler watching. 43 species.

Hiked various trails in Pinkham Notch partly with Suzanne, some of it red-lining. Slow pace as she's got a sore leg. Worked hard on a couple of uphills.

To and from Whittaker Woods via Pequaket Lot and tracks.

Milers "Fun Run". Took it slow for a change and got up the hill in the middle with enough left to pick up speed downhill and on flat later in race. I'm still two minutes slower than last year, but went into this with a lot of work in last several days.

Up Redtail and down Cranmore (Gibson) with Heather. Distance and climb approximate. Had to slow down for her a few times; probably just as well.
Cold with wind in clearcuts; hands numb by the end.

In the Village, sprinkling again this afternoon. Four times up Country Rd hill to anaerobic. Felt surprisingly good after the long bike - different muscles I guess. Worked at women's 5-mile race in sunny morning. Suzanne walked it in 65:05!
