Note
(sick)

Its bad but could have been worse. Im in FL for a conference but instead of attending conference I am recovering from emergency surgery at FL hospital. Ended up being severe food poisoning but for close to 24hrs I had severe stomach pain. I was adminitered highest possible pain killer medicine allowed but I still would have pain level 8 out of 10.

Running race 39:01 [5] 6.2 mi (6:18 / mi)
shoes: La Guardia NZS

fingerlakes tri relay. time estimated. second relay team. got passes in last mile

Adjusted time: 39:01

Updated: I run faster then I thought I could but I still disappointed about losing lead to Phil Nesbit within last mile. Phil definitely had advantage of seeing where I was. However he still had 1:40 to make up. He was scheming and he played his cards right - once he passed he increased tempo to discourage me to follow him which actually worked. Once he passed me it physiologically depleted me. I tried few times to reel him in but it was still at his acceleration phase and since I could not get him closer eventually I let him go and slowed down a lot for last quarter of mile.

Update II: Once consolation for me is that I ran faster then previous years runner for the team I was part of. I still feel that I could have hold off Phil if I knew more what I could pull of in 6.2 mile run

Running warm up/down 20:00 [3] 2.0 mi (10:00 / mi)
shoes: La Guardia NZS
