Orienteering race 1:23:23 [5] ***** 10.98 km (7:36 / km) +325m 6:37 / km
20c shoes: Oroc X-Talon Shadow

Long course. This went quite well, and my few silly mistakes weren't as bad as I thought they were at the time, even though I did find 18 before 17... :)

Also, sidenote, my returning flight got delayed by 3 AND A HALF HOURS so I feel like creating a Siri-inspired verse/poem/song to describe it...

Oh, United can't you see,
by the day's fading light,
what so proudly would hail at 5:40,
by twilight isn't moving.
Whose lack of air conditioning kept us through the night
through the windows we watched; AC was so gallantly not working.
And the captain's updates, the people's tempers bursting in (non-air-conditioned) air,
gave proof through the night, that our delays were still there.
Oh say will this deeellaaayyyed flight ever actually take off,
from the land of the fast orienteers, and the terrain of my dreams...

(sing it to the tune of "Star-Spangled Banner")

Middle Distance. This was quite challenging but I didn't make any large errors. Almost beat AJ, but he got me by 7 seconds...

Orienteering race 25:36 [5] ***** 3.75 km (6:50 / km) +30m 6:34 / km
11c shoes: Oroc X-Talon Shadow

Leg 3 of a 6-point relay team with Julia and Amalie. Big thanks to both of them for carrying our team; I made some silly errors and got (very painfully) KO-ed by green-briar multiple times which made my race feel kinda sloppy...

Incline loop with my dog. Beautiful views up here but still the climb is brutal. Glad the mud is finally gone so I can run this loop again.

Note
(rest day)

Does lugging around 10 mega-bags of mulch count as a log-able activity? Sure felt like it... :)
