Explored Quebec Run Wild Area! Kevin made a KP map so we had trails and contours :) The trails were really nice and well marked. The run itself was a bit of a struggle. My legs started tired and after running uphill for >3 miles they were just about done. It also rained steadily for the first half and I got cold. Would definitely come back to this park - preferably in nicer weather.

GNC Extreme-O Long Course #2

I tried to talk Kevin into racing together, but he wanted to go for the solo win so we went separate. It didn't seem like that extreme of an extreme-o - which was fine by me! Lots of map switches, some coordinate plotting, a satellite map, a contours only map, one memory-o control, following a bearing, whited out map sections, and finding the locations in a few photographs. I did learn a new technique for crossing ropes so that was cool. And I refreshed myself on how to use a fishing pole to 'fish' for bonus time at the end (I was only moderately successful). I did not enjoy the terrible vegetation I was in on the satellite map section - thick pine with a lot of thorns. Otherwise the course was a lot of fun.

+5 minutes because I popped my balloon (I did return the pieces). -2 minutes for bonus fishing.
