Last big training ride. Bike was in kind of rough shape. Brake pads were worn to nothing, brakes were rubbing, chain was rubbing in the small ring. Ooof not good for race shape, so I dropped it at the shop on my way home.
Ride was really nice. I got out the door early, so it was about 45F when i started at 8, but sunny so it felt nice. This was a loop of hte 2018 iteration of the race, and I think the roads were in better shape than the other ride I did a few weeks ago, but the hills were just as brutal. Lots of farm land and state game lands, and natural gas drilling in the area.
Enjoyable ride, but I feel a little under prepared to go closer to 70 miles! We'll see!
