Bike MTB - FOCUS 40:00 [2]
shoes: Asics DS Trainer

Easy pace on Liggos Rodebike to Melb Uni and back - only problem was that the front gear 'thing' didn't work so had to do a lot of padling. Almost got killed twice. First after about 70 sec when I didn't see a car driving in the "Wrong" side of thr road ;-)

Second time when some freak cut me an Morty of on the way back before he turned left. 'clapped' his car with my hand and the guy exploded and chased us so we had to go for the foodpath!

Have to be happy I survived the day

Running 59:00 [3]
shoes: Asics DS Trainer

solid run in the parks and streets around MelB Uni with Morty and some guy I Took AUD 250 from by winning a 10k funrun in 2006 or so. He could still remember me, the good thin was he was not trying to kill me so only two near death experiences today.

Warm-up / Warm-Down 20:00 [3]
shoes: Inov-8 X-thalon 212

Orienteering race 1:44:00 [4] *** 15.1 km (6:53 / km) +630m 5:42 / km

Back in the Spur Gully terrain - have never been my specialty, can still remember my first effort at Eppalock that wasn't pretty, smashed the compas, got lost and mispunched, it not getting much worse, and have to admit I did a little better today.

Was focused on keeping focus at the navigation, and started out conservatively. Hit the controls in the beginning well and it was easy to keep a good pace as I't wasn't so rocky and hilly. Had five of the best splits on the 6 first controls (ran a little to safe to 4'th but still ended too high. Thought I did a ripper route choice to the 7'th control (going round left over the paddock and then easy path runnung) but lost 1½ mns to Shep (30 sec in the circle).

Started feeling very confident with the 'easy'spur gully thing.... So lost the edge and full concentration and the shit hid the fan ½ way to 11'th. Decided to take the small path right to the line and ran withou checking the map much. Crossed a watercourse and thought it was the one just west of the control but was the one 4-5 cm WWS of the control. checked the compas and saw that I was 90 degrees out. From then I lost the map contact and 'found' it again a couple of times but it was never right. Was sure my legs had taken me too far and suddently I could see the Asfalt road and railway SHIT! Suddently the legs felt very heavy and I never found the rythm again. My brain told me that I lost maybe 5-6 mns. But as I caught Ruben (Who I also caught on 3rd control) going toward 14th I realised the time loss prob. was a little bigger. But lost more than 13 mns to Shep on the leg.. hard to believe!´Must be my biggest time loss for a couple of years... maybe since Eppalock.....

Made small mistakes at # 14, 18 but the speed was not high enought in the end.

Warm-up / Warm-Down 25:00 [3]
shoes: Inov-8 X-thalon 212

Orienteering 39:00 [3] *** 6.3 km (6:11 / km) +190m 5:23 / km

First race in Oz for some time, had a good look at the map (plenty of time while flying to Malbourne), and it's a ripper terrain, so was really looking forward to this race. I knew I probably would feel a little tired in the legs after all the travelling, so the tactic was to focus on the navigation.

Hmm didn't really start so well, and I can only blame my self. Might have been a little to slack in the start after talking with most of the start personel as I haven't seen them for more than a year.

Felt I had everything in control but still drifted to much to the left going over the flat hill and lost around one minute to the first control. Got the focus back and navigated well until a smaller mistake at 7 and 11. Didn't follow the plan to 13th and got stuck in the green bushy stuff going to 13 and lost around 40 sec compared to the fastet split.

Was really unsure and lost the contact a little on the way to 18th, again the spur gully terain tricked me!

Did okay in the end except a little extra tour up hte gully to 24 as I didn't go high enough the first time to see the control.

Should have had the speedo's ready going to last control as I only managed to keep my head over the water!

A great course in a ripper terrain.

The big test is tomorrow, will the Spur gully terrain trick me again ?

Running 33:00 [3]
ahr:141 max:168

After Sight Seeing In KL a visit to random Temples, buildings Etc. including the sky walk between the Petronas Towers, the Temperature maybe dropped below 30 degrees and humidity below 99,9% around 9 pm, but I'n not sure as I started sweting after 9.34 sec.

The good thing that in KLCC park there is a 1100m running track (I hope it's not only 1000m as my pace would be shit!

Running (Monas Fartlek "Light") 41:00 [4]
shoes: Asics DS Trainer

Monas light Fartlek (meaning only 2 effort at every time bracket).

Felt okay tried to go full speed on the effort and very easy on the flow.

Still feeling a little strange... just hoping that the cold is not returning
