Running long 2:02:00 [3] 18.0 km (6:47 / km)

Long run at Binna Burra with Clare, Rachel and Dan. Plan was to do the Coomera circuit, but after a few of the smaller creeks were quite flooded we decided that maybe it wasn't such a great idea, so ended up on the mt hobwee loop. Rain alternated between dripping and pissing down. and mud was similarly variable. leaches were out in plague proportions, and stopping was fraught with danger - all the leaches that had attached to your shoes started making for your ankles on a blood mission. got really cold the last time we stopped, with about 5k to go. could have done with some food.
leach count was about 10 in the end - and my ankles were a bit horror-movie.

late breakfast at the cafe at binna burra - breakfast was ok, but disappointed that the soup of the day didn't exist yet! all a bit of an epic day out, but glad we made the effort, and I thought it was still fun. Dan was less impressed.

dug another hole. it filled with water.

long day of soil sampling in a patch of forest with the hand auger. bonus strength session this week. only got rained on for about half an hour.

easy run around anzac park. nice to be out in daylight on a weekday. gave my left ankle an excessive stretch, but nothing too nasty.

mainly core stuff + some arms and squats. major fail on plank things - I think my elbow is somewhat busted from my crash last week and the point on the end is really painful. oh well.
