ride from boonah. dwyers ridges rd loop.
some extra smelly roadkill baking in the sun.

Orienteering race 19:13 [4] 3.1 km (6:12 / km)

cyclones park o at musgrave park at southport. really good course setting by mat on a very limited map, and the event went surprising well in general.
my run was slow, and legs still felt very stiff and heavy. had a couple of zigzags where I picked the wrong thing to run to and realized halfway.

warm up. was going to warm down by collecting controls, but managed to delegate that, and then couldn't be bothered. went for a swim at the beach after the race.

Running hills (Anzac park TT) 30:08 [5]

With Clare and a few of the boys. felt totally flat to start with, and had trouble even running down the hills. got dropped by clare early on, and didn't pass her again till half way out. Saw a giant carpet snake, which was really cool. legs started to feel ok after about 20mins and kinda felt like I was running properly. a little bit quicker than 2 weeks ago, but at least twice as hard. think I need an easy/rest day tomorrow.

river run with kirra and mat. still a bit sore from yesterday, and itb was a bit tight on the way home.

Cycling 40:00 [3]

ride into southbank for sprintovals. crashed on the way home. first crash on the roadie, and a fairly random event. lights had gone out near the end of coro drive, so I was riding along maquarie st (which is very dark) being fairly careful to stay out of everyones way, and a car was coming along the st with its lights on high beam (apparently they weren't - just a stupid feature of the car). so I was staying very left to not get runover, and could see a parked car about 100m further up, but didn't see the fallen tree on the road. smacko. bit of bark off, but ok.

Orienteering intervals 30:00 [5]

intervals at southbank, set by kieran. 4 out, 2 long back. felt ok for the first 4 and ran pretty hard, but didn't have much left in the tank for the last 2 and reallly struggled to keep up any kind of pace. rachel was flying.
