was thinking about going for a run, but ended up sampling dad's home-brew. it was very good, so I had some more, and soon running was not an option.

mt coottha run from wendy's with the cyclones. was thinking about running a bit longer, but decided against it as I haven't actually done a long run since january and I didn't want to stir up any injuries. the run ended up being quite quick, and julz and I were pushing the hills pretty hard.

pancakes for breakie at wendy's afterwards!!

mtb at gap creek with erica and martin. pretty cruisy pace, but definitely as fast as I'd want to go on a hot afternoon.

haven't been out on the mtb for a while and felt totally unco - stepped of on heaps of stuff I've never had trouble with before a and nearly went over the hangers on the steps going down to lantana. kinda forgot how ridiculously good erica is compared to me and realised too late that there was no way I was riding the line she took. lucky my bailing skills are very well practiced!

trolls friday. fortunately the pace was more like a wednesday social troll than the usual friday smashfest. wendy was having a suffer-fest - obviously hasn't been trolling enough recently! rode home with imo via qut at gossip pace.

4*2min efforts. ran pretty hard and the last one was a lot less than fun.

overall felt pretty good running tonight, its amazing how much difference having the morning off makes. would have liked to run for a bit longer after, but mum was coming over for dinner. in the end she was half an hour late - typical!

trolls river ride. quick but not crazy this morning and managed to hold onto the group. got briefly dropped on the corso (I was doing 55 but it just wasn't enough), but caught up again once the pace eased up.

Anzac park hills. Felt pretty average, and didn't really feel like I could push hard on the hills, but the overall time on the run was as quick as I've ever done it, and I usually try and smash myself. I'm going to take that as a good sign.

base training with Imo, Scott and Dan. Tried to do last weeks loop backwards, but got lost a couple of times.
Had one interesting incident - Scott hopped over a dead possum right in front of me while I was trying to have a drink. I swerved to avoid the possum (road kill splatter is not cool), but dropped my water bottle. I was just turning round to retrieve it when a car ran it over. thirsty trip home!

around uni. half with the squad before the hill session, and the other half by myself afterwards.

Running hills 15:00 [4]

3*3 hills (200m?) jog recoveries and longer recoveries in between sets.

trolls. got dropped twice, but the second time it was a group of us that missed the lights. don't think I've recovered from last week yet.
