Cycling 1:30:00 [3]

Yackandandah trails. With Dan and Lee. Nice smooth hand cut trails. Bit of a change from falls.

Cycling 1:00:00 [3]

Beechworth trails. Lee had been talking about her local trails so we decided we needed to ride there too. Super fun granite trails. I think I need to move to beechworth.

Running long 3:30:00 [3] 23.0 km (9:08 / km)

Run along razorback ridge to feathertop. Started in the fog but it cleared to an awesome sunny afternoon. Last hour was pretty tough going.

Cycling 3:30:00 [3]

Another ride at falls creek, with Dan, Andy and Browny. Good to have a local tour guide. Rode thunderbolt which was a bit much for my little bike.

Cycling 1:30:00 [1]

Not sure whether we would ride but went into falls for coffee. Taking to the bike shop people who assured us the trails were fine to ride in the wet, and did we want to try their demo ebike?so we took them for a spin. Basically a specialized enduro rig + motor. Awesome on the climbs, great on the flow trails but tricky to balance the power on the techy sections, particularly as the bike weighs 25kg. Made for a very fun recovery day.

Cycling long 4:20:00 [3] 55.0 km (4:44 / km)

Mtb at falls creek. Ride includes the commute in from the camp ground to the trails. Awesome, rocky, great trails. Hit the wall big time on the climb back up from flowtown.

Saturday Dec 24, 2016 #

Cycling 30:00 [2]

Spin along the little walking track from the camp ground to ease the legs out after the drive. Scenic.

Wednesday Dec 21, 2016 #

Running 41:00 [3]

run in anzac park after the storm. started the run pissed off and spent the whole time stewing about orienteering bullshit.

Tuesday Dec 20, 2016 #

Running 45:00 [3]

run into the go between bridge and back. back and hammies tightened up a bit at the end.

Monday Dec 19, 2016 #

Yoga 1:00:00 [2]

Hot yoga. lots of hip stretching. yoga instructors seem to get quite confused about how I can be quite bendy for most poses, but then can barely do the beginner level for other stuff.

Sunday Dec 18, 2016 #

Cycling 1:00:00 [2]

Very cruisey ride at tewantin.

Had planned on doing some decent training this weekend but slept all yesterday and didn't feel up to much more today.

Wednesday Dec 14, 2016 #

Running 35:00 [3]

easy run in anzac park, just before it got completely dark. nice out, and nice to finally feel like I'm running a bit better and the hills aren't too much of an ordeal.

Tuesday Dec 13, 2016 #

Running tempo 44:00 [4] 8.0 km (5:30 / km)

Evening run in to the go between bridge, with some tempo bits along the river. felt pretty good running.
late start cos we went across the road to sticky beak at the auction. nice old qlder on a big block, but basic reno - went for 925k. don't think I'll be buying a house on my street any time soon.

Monday Dec 12, 2016 #

Yoga 1:00:00 [2]

Hot yoga. Tough class after a long day of field work. Could barely hold my arms up by the end.

Sunday Dec 11, 2016 #

Cycling 1:15:00 [3]

mtb ride in gap creek with Dan. started from the top of coottha, which meant finishing with a monster climb up 3 sisters to the car, which I rode all of for the first time. did the main loop clockwise for the first time in years.. like new trails! climbs are much tougher in that direction with lots of loose rock pinches.

Saturday Dec 10, 2016 #

Running 32:00 [3]

Park o at rocks riverside. Nice area but couldn't be bothered running hard.

Friday Dec 9, 2016 #

Running 40:00 [3]

Third day stuck in Mt isa. Woke up early so went for a run up a hill. Very nice out after the rain last night and only 25C. Amazing how green it was so quickly after getting water. View to the east was beautiful. Would be great orienteering terrain. View to the west is the mine and processing plant which is way bigger than the town.

Note

Hoping to fly out today. I don't mind Mt isa but pretty sick of sitting in the airport being lied to by Qantas.

Sunday Dec 4, 2016 #

Running 47:00 [3]

single track run on bruce ridge. fun, but tired legs.

Saturday Dec 3, 2016 #

Running 42:00 [3]

morning run on bruce ridge

Running (street o) 50:00 [3]

OA conference street o. got a bit bored and parched, although the dry air meant that it still felt cool compared to running in brisbane.
