Long run at Binna Burra. The last half hour really hurt! longest run by at least an hour in a couple of months, so pretty pleased that I actually made it! and no leaches!

trolls, but starting from where the ride comes past our place instead of the city. means the rest of the group has been riding for 20mins and is warmed up and going fast. spent most of the ride in struggletown. coffee was piss-weak and made with skim milk - just what I didn't need.

didn't have a car today so had to ride home and my arms were so sore I could hardly hold onto the bars.

plod. while dan ran. why did I start taking him running? now he's really fast and its depressing cos I'm slow. kinda figured it would go this way though - he's tall, thin and fit. wasn't going to take long before he worked out the running thing.

went out for a cruisey run and decided to do some hill intervals -
1.12, 1.16, 1.08, 1.11, 1.09, 1.08.
timing was a bit all over the place, and it was a bit hard to get going on the first couple, but good to run fast for the first time in a while. plenty of lactic burn!

went dirt jumping (does this count as training? it was hard work!) at bardon with dan, simon and kirra. was finally starting to get the hang of the jumping thing and getting air without scaring the shit out of myself when I put my back out riding over the smallest lump of dirt in the place. had serious trouble just getting off the bike. grrr.
lots of stretching when I got home, and lots of work with the tennis ball to fix the muscles in my back and it seems to be getting a bit better.

mtb at gap creek. the sun finally came out today, so went out to gap creek for a cruisy ride with kirra. got off to a really bad start when I lent against a tree with a wasps nest in and got attacked by a swarm of them - ended up with about 20 bites... f-ing hurt!! and in running away from the wasps I managed to bash one leg on a log and put my chain ring through the other calf (they're really sharp!) more ouch. the wasp bites didn't take too long to settle down, and the rest of the ride was really fun.
