Aus Sprint Champs

Loved the area and was a great fun course so pleased I entered... but a little disappointed with myself really. Should have tried a bit harder but just found myself plodding along. Caught Sarah at #2 (she must have made a big mistake) and she got back ahead at about 6 or 7 where I misread a passageway (thought you could get through at the end but there was a thin line of olive green which I didn't see beforehand - bad eyesight!! So I had to turn back). Anyway, I wish I tried harder to stick with her as she finished nearly a minute ahead of me. Instead I tried to go different ways for fun but they ended up a bit slower each time (plus I was running slower) so I just got further behind. Plus I was just running and not pushing at all. She was well out of sight by the time I finished, oh well! Really fun to be out - heaps of runners around which for once I mostly ignored. Thanks to all the people who got permission, mapped, course set, controlled etc - a fun little area to run on. Hope we can use it again

Also - saw Cathy today and am going to ease back on running in order to strengthen a lot of areas in order to improve hammy and back

Ploddy run on Bruce ridge single tracks. Beaut day - 23 degs but felt a lot warmer!
Started feeling very ill afterwards...
