RUN 1:16:30 [3] 15.0 km (5:06 / km)
shoes: Nike Terrain

Sunday morning run with the guys, normal loop, once again I was struggling, don't think the present situation of racing on the weekend with no training is helping, will have to do something about it in a couple of weeks

RUN warm up/down 10:00 [3] 2.0 km (5:00 / km)
shoes: Nike Terrain

Trip to Melbourne in the bus with the team, we were running late, so not much time for a warm up. By the time I parked the bus, and ran back to the start, the race was under way, luckily, I had organised myself to run the last leg

RUN race 13:52 [5] 3.8 km (3:39 / km)
shoes: Nike racing flats

Last leg of the Bendigo M40 team. Was tailing the Glenhuntly team by 80m, so liked that, and settled into the grove, in the early stages i thought I had better speed than him, so going into 1st place wasn't going to be difficult, but then, APS went pass at about 500m into the race, thought about going with him, but he seemed to be travelling well, so decided 2nd place would do.

Up Anderson St hill, and I was making time on APS, thought about it again, but decided to leave it a little longer. Top of the hill, and APS went pass Glenhuntly, so still in 3rd place, but confident about 2nd. Around to the War Memorial, and Eureka shot pass. That was a bit of a blow, cos there was I, eyeing of 2nd place, and now I was in 4th.

So with 800 to go, I thought I had better show my hand, so moved into 2nd, and kept the foot down, don't think 800 was ever meant to be that long, kept pushing, listening out for approaching feet, but none to be heard.

Held it together for 2nd place, 15secs in front of 3rd, very happy with that last 800 (-:

ORIENTEERING ◪ race (Bendigo Rocks event 4) 29:52 [4] 5.0 km (5:58 / km)
shoes: INOV-8 Roclite

This was the warm down I didn't have at the Tan

Missed 1 by a little, wasn't into the map yet. Made a bit of a meal of 7, to early and to high. Cruised through the rest of the course OK

Bloody lovely out there today, green carpet to run on, with great visibility.

Finished of a good day, by beating the Moook by 7 secs (-:

Thought I had better do something, seeing I hadn't run all week. Late evening run around the burbs, nothing special, and I felt a bit on the tired side
