RUN 27:30 [3] 4.85 km (5:40 / km)
shoes: Nike Zoom

Decided that I had better get out for a slow easy run, went via a letterbox, then down to the creek where I saw the Moook, so went with him to the track, then with Phil towards his house, then OTH, and back down the creek. Scandinavia/Europe is nice to run in but nothing can beat running at home

RUN race (CC @ Bundoora) 45:43 [5] 12.0 km (3:49 / km)
shoes: Nike racing flats

Only been home 2 days, so wasn't as prepared for it as I could have been, but seeing that Bendigo could go up to Div 1 if we finish in the top 2 of Div 2, I thought I should try to help the team out.

Had a bit of a race with some Penisula Road Runners guys (the team we need to get in front of if we go up a div) got the 1st one under control near the end of the 3rd lap, then finally caught the other with 300 to go, he seemed to let me go pass easily, but then came back at me with 150, so I held him wide and beleive that I had him at the line, but he told me the officials gave it to him at the line, so told him to go through in front of me. I dont think he got me at all, but then, so what.

ROAD BIKE 1:05:30 [3] 32.5 km (2:01 / km)
shoes: Nike Bike shoes #1

Got home today from Europe, so got the bike out and took it for a ride out to Huntly and back. Made a bit of a error estimating amount of daylight, so had to come home via some side streets so as to keep away from travelling on the dark busy roads

ORIENTEERING ◪ race (Spectator race 6) 32:00 [5]

Liggo is to good, got him today , but only cos he made a 5 min error, all other legs he took time out of me. So 2 wins to me, 3 to Liggo,

ORIENTEERING ◪ race (Spectator race 5) 41:09 [5]
shoes: Silva O shoes

Liggo got me again, it will be on for young and old tomorrow when I have my last chance to demolish his lead. Dubious site 2 got many runners today, but I couldn't take advantage of it as it got me as well

Thursday Jul 17, 2008 #

Note

Coaching duties, so no O race.

Protested to the organisers, then jury Re the disquilification of Ross Morrison, He is seen on camera punching the last control, there computer connected via radio to the control has him as punching it, but it is not on his SI, so out he goes. We will have to do something about this system/rule that sees this happening to often

RUN tempo 30:00 [3]

Sorry guys, forgot to mention that I did get a run in.

After getting my last runner into the forest, I had to get to the Arena, the army jeeps were all full, so I thought I will run out to the buses, but I wasn't allowed on, so I ran the highway back to the carpark and then the 1.5k to the arena. I think I can log that as training.

ORIENTEERING ◪ race (Spectator race 3) 31:00 [5]

Liggo has to be on drugs as that can be the only explonation to how he is running so fast. He was a no show at WMOC, now he beats me while I,m running like a cut cat. Very fast terrain today, took a slower route to one and was behind from there home

Tuesday Jul 15, 2008 #

ORIENTEERING ◪ (Spectator race 2) 38:05 [5]
shoes: Silva O shoes

Missed 1.5 min on 2, then got caught by yesterdays winner at 5, stayed with him, even got the odd control 1st and won the sprint up the finish chute, got 7 mins back on Liggo

RUN warm up/down 10:00 [3]

Monday Jul 14, 2008 #

ORIENTEERING ◪ (Spectator race 1) 59:46 [5]
shoes: Silva O shoes

Good start, then lost 9 mins on a 3 min leg, control was way further up the slope than I anticipated, 7 seem to be in the wrong pit, and 8 was in a unmapped pit, oh well, as long as they get it right for the World Champs

RUN warm up/down 10:00 [3]

Ran to the start

Saturday Jul 12, 2008 #

Nicer forest today, long type terrain, enjozed it more

ORIENTEERING ◪ 17:45 [3]

Another day, another sprint map. Who can you blame when every town you go through makes a lovely sprint area, today was just down the road

Wednesday Jul 9, 2008 #

ORIENTEERING ◪ 1:05:00 [3]

Up into the mountain terrain for a middle area, not nice to run in if you like to look where you are going, not happy with how the contours dont seem to be mapped

ORIENTEERING ◪ 15:00 [4]

Sumperk, nice sprint area, did it on the way home

Tuesday Jul 8, 2008 #

Note

Finally made it to Czech after red eye special from Lisbon, made one navigation mistake on the drive down to Ollamuc when left the freeway and ended in Prague. Whoops
