Note

Been in Melbourne the last 2 days for a conference, when I drove home past Prinny last night, it looked very nice, and as that is where everyone goes training, I decided, that I would train there today. When I dropped in there this afternoon, it was blowing a gale, that, combined with that I wasn't feeling to good, meant I put this run of to another day.

MTB 1:42:00 [3] 32.0 km (3:11 / km)

For the 1st time in nearly 3 weeks, I woke up and wasn't coughing my guts up, that made me feel so much better. Even did some housework, and mowed the lawn. After lunch it still hadn't warmed up to my liking, but I had to go, so I procastinated a little more, and finally got under way by 4.
Up Lawson St, to Diamond Hill, then onto Kangarro Gully, around to Sandhurst Res, followed the fence in a anti clockwise direction to the Coliban channel, up channel to Hunts Gap Rd, back to Kangaroo Gully, onto Spring Gully res, up OTH, down to College and back home. Really enjoyed it once I was out there

Saturday Aug 11, 2007 #

ORIENTEERING ◪ race (Sedgwick) 42:59 [4] 7.0 km (6:08 / km)

Nice day, got a sweat up, that is a good thing. Was going to do this and the CC, but time goes so fast when you are having fun. Walked a few hills, so I am still not any where like fit enough, but ran quite well in places, need to be more agressive. Nearly did 6 min/k, next time. Got Toph, which is another good thing

Friday Aug 10, 2007 #

MTB 20:00 [3]

Evening ride up to Diamond Hill and back down the creek

Wednesday Aug 8, 2007 #

ROAD BIKE 40:00 [3]

Easy ride just before lunch, Mandurang oval, Sth Mandurang, back along Kangaroo Gully Rd to the Flat, home pass Golden Square High school, Not a bad day for a ride, will be so much nicer when it warms up

RUN 40:00 [3] 7.87 km (5:05 / km)

Kangaroo Gully with James and Toph, along the powerlines track, one that I normally keep well clear of as it is very hilly. James got Toph on all the early hills, then it started to hit him, Toph got a few and I got the last, but Toph had given up by then, and james had dropped out of sight

Tuesday Aug 7, 2007 #

RUN 30:00 [3] 6.0 km (5:00 / km)

Ran 4 laps of Lake Weerona, only had 1/2 hr between arriving in Bendigo from Shepparton, where I was working today and the monthly Bendigo O Club meeting. Ran with Big Ev breifly as we did the 1st lap together, and also saw Johnny Maher, he had just finished when I arrived, good to get a run in mid week, will have to make a habit of it.

MTB 24:00 [3]

Went to the Orienteering today but din't run. Went for a ride once back home, up to Diamond hill and back down the creek, Garmin got it as 6.59k tacho on the bike 6.85k, may have to do a slight ajustment on the bike

Note

Got a phone call at 1 in the morning from my Sister, she said that there had been a incedent around there place, and could I come around. Turned out that the L-Train had been having a party, and some univited Thugs came around, then things got a little out of hand, Byran, and there father, Noel ended up in hospital for the night, Bryan has 3 broken bones in his face, may need face surgery, both of them look very knocked about.

Saturday Aug 4, 2007 #

ATHLETICS race 23:37 [4] 6.23 mi (3:47 / mi)

Road relay at Sandown, 1st real run in 2 weeks, and didn't it show.
Did 11.37 for the 1st lap and then 12.00 for the 2nd, so no negative split, but then that was the order of the day, conditions were not the best down the back straight

WARM UP/DOWN warm up/down 20:00 [3]

Mainly on the warm up, was coughing to much after the race to do a decent warm down

Note

The same time is not a win, or a loss, My sister did 11.38 for the 1st lap, then 11.59, so I still hold my record, I have not been beaten by her ................yet (-:

RUN 1:00:00 [1] 5.7 km (10:32 / km)

Needed to get out and do something, been feeling the worse for wear for some time now, well nearly a week.
Mt Korong, checked out unmapped terrain to the NE of the existing map, very nice, bit more suttle detail, more green, but not nasty stuff, would make a challenging course.
