Cross Training (Aerial Yoga) 1:00:00 [3]
(injured)

This was amazing. I went to the Body Art Barn with MacKenzie this morning, class started at 1000. It was basically acrobatics. I did not think I would be able to do it at all, but I felt so much stronger working with the silk than normal.

We started out with getting comfortable with the silk and then moved into a pike. The pike basically consisted of us rotating our bodies 180 degree so that our shoulders were perpendicular to the ground and our legs stretched out parallel to the ground. We'd get in and out of this position several times.

Next we would move into a head stand position, so our entire body was perpendicular to the ground without using anything but the silk. That was pretty hard to do and understand what was happening. Took a lot of focus to tell my body to push upward rather than out.

Then we moved into forward folding positions; we did basic stretches with felt great but then transitioned into reverse diapers. We did one from the from which required laying back and kicking your leg through the silk and hooking on. Then you climb up the silk until it evened out.

The other technique - much easier - was to forward fold and then V out your legs, flip forward (under your legs) and do a massive sit up, then climb up the silk. We did stuff in that position, but I can't really remember because I was just in shock that I got up.

LOVED IT.

Cross Training (Basketball) 1:00:00 [3]
(injured) shoes: Nike Trainers

Basketball with the team. I am really bad at the offense aspect of the game.

Received an injection of fluid into the knee at Keller, helped eliminate majority of the pain and I had so much fun. Got kneed in my knee at one point, which did not feel good at all. Decided to take it easy at that point and not risk some type of shock.
