Orienteering 17:21 [4] 2.8 km (6:12 / km)

#EurovisionMSW race 1, RMIT Bundoora.

Back to where last season ended. Clean run, just slogging it the whole way round at my one pace.

The Sound of Silence (Australia, 2016) in the arena due to not being able to find a working PA was a bit of a pity (must remember to think of it earlier next time), but everything else went well.

Orienteering 16:07 [4] 2.8 km (5:45 / km)

#EurovisionMSW race 2, Melbourne Uni.

Felafel lunch was noticeable when warming up, but not while running. Was feeling less tired than I expected on the course which was a pleasant surprise. Maybe I was just excited at running round my old stomping ground. I was surprised we were allowed to run around Systems Gardens so much at the end (my old hangout).

Not really many mistakes, except I wasted a bit of time when 'I didn't know' (San Marino, 2016) which side of the wall the tricky control was on (but did check out the next one on my way. Same plodding pace. Could 'Hear them Calling' (Iceland, 2016) in the finish chute thanks to the uni's PA.

6 PM

Running 28:17 [4] 5.1 km (5:33 / km) +19m 5:27 / km

Sprint training around Clifton Hill and Quarries Park.

Legs/lungs felt rubbish - had one slow plodding pace only, but it felt like a massive effort. Only the garmin kept me pushing. Slow pace made the navigation easier though. A few legs where I'm not sure I got the best route.

Running 12:00 intensity: (7:00 @3) + (5:00 @4)

Hill intervals, reading RMIT map in the recoveries. Legs had nothing. Lungs had nothing. Probably a bit tired after our long ride the day before.

Core strength/stretching 30:00 [1]

Riding 40:00 [2]

Home from the convent.

Riding 1:50:00 [3]

I went for a ride with CB1,
We really did have a lot of fun.
We overtook a postie bike,
And even saw a trike,
Then finished off with a hot cross bun.

2 laps of the Boulie with CB1 + a super-fast, super-competitive lap of the crit course (I lost).
