Note
(injured)

Hurt me foot good
8 AM

Note
(rest day)

Attempted to do a shake-out / extremely delayed cool down, but toe put a stop to that pretty quick. Probably could have guessed that result from the swelling and the fact I was limping around my room.

Ah well, guess I get a bit more time off before I start properly training.

orienteering - General intervals 1:00:00 [4] 8.66 km (6:56 / km) +103m 6:32 / km

7x ~1km forked night orienteering intervals. Running with Olof, Joel, and Martin. Generally, going well apart from a messy leg somewhere on each interval. Quite often down to not being able to find the tape at the control, so probably saying something about my accuracy in the control circle.

Didn't see the tape at 1, but only half sure I was actually at the control so a little pause there. Alone for the last couple legs as Olof hit his control cleanly and Joel and Martin were somewhere behind me.

Running well on the 2nd up until I drifted very wide on my bearing to control 6, but recovered quickly.

3rd interval going very well up until 10, where I hit some rocks just to the right of the control, and spent 1min+ looking for a tape. Kicked a rock at some point during the leg and didn't realize how much it hurt until I stopped running, so just jogged the last control.

On the 4th and 5th interval I had one common control and screwed it up both times. To be fair Olof and Martin also messed up the first and second time respectively.

On the 6th interval I was looking at the wrong start, so a lot of confusion there, but luckily Joel also screwed up that forking so I had someone to run with. Then pure enjoyment running the next leg.

Last interval, just tucked in behind Joel and Olof from 26 on, but hit the road to the finish and foot decided a sprint finish was not happening today for me. Probably worth noting I wasn't really hitting the same speeds intervals 4 through 7, so when I screwed up I wasn't capable of recatching anyone.

shoes: inov-8 X-talon 210

Easy distance on a really nice lidar map. Map a bit sketchy in some of the more detailed sections and ended up missing one control, but forest really can't get much nicer then this around here.

Hugo and Erik split off part way, so just Gustav, Erika, Isac and myself for the rest.

running intervals 36:00 [4] 9.94 km (3:37 / km)
shoes: Saucony Kinvara 10 (2)

Meant to run 20x 1 min threshold / 1 min steady, however turned into 8 of them into the wind, took the last min steady as rest and then 10x 1 min/1 min running with the wind.

Started a bit aggressive running into the wind and started to slow down after 10-12 minutes so called it at the 8th and turned around. Legs feeling pretty sore on the way back, but wind helping them turn over.

running 11:35 [2] 2.5 km (4:38 / km)
